SEO strategy and strategy: What is the difference? a lot of!

At the beginning of the year, my company was absorbed by another digital marketing agency.

The first thing my team and I noticed about the new home is that our new colleague used the word “strategy.” Different from our way.

This reminds me of how we use terminology completely, and the SEO community, in general, use it properly.

If I want to come down to the essential difference between strategy and tactics, I would say:

The strategy focuses on why. How is the strategy?
Then I asked my new teammates about their ideas and got some good responses:

The strategy consists of multiple strategies. – Patrick Willoughby’s strategy is planning and hip hop; and strategy is when you take concrete actions to implement the strategy. – Claudia MillerStrategy is a plan, tactics are a viable project to implement the plan. &ndash’s; the tactical Megan Master strategy is the slowest way to win. A strategy without strategy is the noise before failure. – grandson
This is what I mean.

Consider some strategies and strategies, such as trying to bring traffic to your website instead of introducing targeted traffic.

Policies can provide traffic, but strategies in the strategy will drive targeted traffic.

Without strategy you can’t have a strategy. Grab that.

You can, but these are strategies developed through test tubes in science laboratories, without any real guidance from parents.

Just as we like to talk about science, just because we can do something doesn’t mean we should do it.

Strategies without strategy are more likely to lead to some strange blend of Frankenstein results, rather than anything similar to successful digital performance offspring.

Before the strategy comes & tactics
However, to delve into this idea, I realized that there is no completely different difference between tactics and strategy.

When you realize that tactics often require their own strategies to start getting a bit confusing.

I will give you an example.

When I started working at a new company, I realized that they saw SEO, social media, usability and PPC as digital marketing strategies that support the overall strategy.

However, my team considered every “tactical” and “tactical”. As a personal strategy that needs to be enriched. They are not just what we do; we do it purposefully.

Who is right?

Both.

According to your opinion, digital marketing is just a strategy for developing a larger business growth strategy.

There are many options in this strategy. This means you need a new strategy to determine which options are best suited to help your business achieve its goals through digital marketing strategies.

This strategy may be a new strategy for SEO. But search engine optimization needs a strategy of its own, because implementing search engine optimization without any framework to achieve your goals does not get the results you want.

Optimizing title tags, navigation optimization and pattern implementation are all reliable SEO strategies, but if they don’t support a strategy to explain why they are used, they can also be a failed strategy.

Strategy Begat Strategy Begat Strategy
If I turn the relevance of strategy and strategy into biblical terminology & ndash; especially King James English & ndash; it will be: goal generation strategy, it develops tactics, develops more strategies, develops more tactics, develops, and so on.

Let us say that the goal of a website is to increase sales by 10% in the next 12 months. The first step is to develop a strategy to achieve this goal. This may include these strategies:

Organic Optimization Paid Advertising Website User Experience Optimization Social Media Marketing
But this is by no means a complete strategy. You must look at each strategy and ask how you will use it to achieve your stated goals.

For example, an organically optimized strategy requires its own strategy and may include the following additional strategies:

Site architecture improvement page optimization local optimization link build
From here on, we need to look at the strategy for each strategy to see if we need another strategy.

Perform page optimization. What does it look like?

Well, hey, there are more strategies here, including optimization:

TitlesDescriptionsURLsBreadcrumbsContent
Moreover, some of these strategies also require a strategy of their own:

What format will your title and description take? Is there an established URL and breadcrumb structure? What is it? Are all the content written in a specific voice? How to integrate the call to action?
If you don’t have a strategy for each strategy, you might find yourself “optimizing” and “optimizing.” There is no uniformity of any kind.

This may work for a single page, but it may not help you achieve a broader goal. Or, the more common argument is that there is no strategy: tactics can win a battle, but they win the war.

Finally, whether you take the time to develop a strategy, the actions you take may be the same. But the results will be different.

Without strategy, you have nothing to measure your success. Of course, you have traffic, but is it the right traffic? Is it profitable?

You may have heard it say, “If your goal is, you will encounter it every time.” “This is the essence of digital marketing without strategy.”

Anyone can implement an SEO strategy. But if there is no strategy, they will aim at what.

It may look the same, you may be charged, but believe me, it is not the same. It is more like working for work.

You may stumble upon some wins here and there, but there are no guiding principles to ensure that these strategies can guide you to the greatest success.

Strategy is always the first
If you now ask me what is the difference between strategy and tactics, I say that strategy is the accumulation of evolving tactics to achieve the desired goals to achieve the best return on investment.

The strategy should always drive the policies (and the strategies for those strategies).

You can choose to implement tactics instead of starting with a solid strategy, but you will never get the results you want.
