After you’ve signed onto and configured CompuServe, you’re set for life, right? That could be, but it’s likely that you’ll want to change one or more of your user options at a later time. For example, you might want to add the executive option or change your password.
How do you change your personal CompuServe setup? To change your membership settings, click the Main Menu button on the Home Desktop, select the Membership Assistance tab, and click the Account Information icon. This takes you to the Account/Billing Information window (see Fig. 2.3). From here, you can change your billing address, billing option, password, and other important options. This menu also includes information on CompuServe’s pricing plans and the ZDNet service. And you can even use this menu to cancel your CompuServe membership.

When you select an option from this menu, you’re presented with instructions specific to that option. Follow the instructions to make your changes, and then return to the main menu to make any additional changes.

  • CompuServe won’t let you change your password until you correctly enter your current password.
